MEET THE
Photographer
I'm Michaela and I am so happy you're here and that I get to share what I love with you. I began my photography journey about 10 years ago by studying film photography my freshman year of college, after that I pursued art with an emphasis in photography & writing. I was incredibly interested in creating visually as well as storytelling through the power and beauty of written words. Eventually, I began to dabble in the profession outside of the classroom doing various sessions such as interiors, engagements and family. When I was asked to photograph one of my best friends micro-wedding, I almost declined because I felt the stakes were too high.. but I trusted the Lord and about half-way through the ceremony, I knew this is what I wanted to pursue. This profession was everything I was looking for, I deeply desired a life of creating.. and photographing the fleeting moments of a wedding day or the sweet season of engagement in a way that makes you look back and feel like you're standing in that memory again was just that.
I am a romantic at heart, take one look at my pinterest and you will see that I romanticize just about every aspect of life. I love good photography, beautiful words, flowers in every room, a weekend trip with my husband to refresh the soul, but most of all I love the Lord and the beautiful path he has me on. I do hope that our paths cross and I get to know all about your own unique love story!
I am Located in Houston, Tx but eager to travel to where you may be!

My Wedding Aproach
First and foremost, I want to get to know you and your Fiancé, I want to hear ya'lls journey of how you met to where y'all are now. This will help me discover the best way to photograph your life. I will want to share pinterest inspo, hear about your thoughts and visions and then make capture your own pinterest-esque photos.

Day of your wedding, I want to make you comfortable, I would like to be a fly on the wall capturing your day as quietly as possible, allowing your little moments of love and laughter to unfold naturally. I will give minimal direction when needed to help guide the day along but will remain true to a more documentary approach.

After the big day I aim to pick and edit the very best photographs, arranging them into the a seamless gallery. This is my final stroke on a painting, the finishing touch.
